El topo

Playwright, poet, mime, film director, novelist, comic book writer, therapist, constant autobiographer, entertainer, psychotherapist, storyteller... Chilean-Mexican-French in origin, Alejandro Jodorowsky launched a peculiar movie career with Fando y Lis in the late 60s. Two years on he directed and headlined, alongside his son Brontis, El topo, defined by some as a spaghetti-western on acid, violent, metaphorical, hallucinogenic, rash, psychedelic, hippy... a work soon to acquire “cult movie” status. A journey into the Wild West with Jodorowsky riding a horse alongside his naked son as he metes out justice in lawless towns.
