The hit website for these 86 regimented minutes shows the style of cinema that Jess Franco would have backed without thinking twice, plus he would have put out a double version in which the boys were transgenic and trans-generic. Like the film, an amazing homage to the cheap and cheerful cinema of the 60s and 70s, my god! (sorry), where vampires are named as though they were in a Bavarian porn movie: Heidi, Lotte, Trudi. Not the queen of course. The queen has a fitting name for a Gracious and Serene un-dead Sovereign: Carmilla. The film exploded on to the scene a few months ago in England, where it set half the world on fire - Sight & Sound magazine ignored its opening whilst the BBC and Empire spread all the spilt blood (lots) on lashings of toast. Wait for the shower/silicon head moment because even vampires have had surgery.
