Dream Home / Wai dor lei ah yut ho

Bursting the real estate bubble, the soaring expense of floor space and mortgages with their own floors and ceilings are not enough to burn the flag of squatting. Pang Ho-cheung, the director of Exodus and also novelist and dramatist, proposes more drastic measures in Dream Home, shown at the Film4 FrightFest in London at midnight on 28th August: if the promoter, builder or estate agents who you have trusted, particularly with your money, let you down and you can no longer buy this loft with views over Victoria harbour in Hong Kong that you set your heart on, it’s time to mow down anyone who might have been your neighbours: so not only will you make sure that they will sell you any flat at all in the end for a rock bottom price but also a malignant urban, banking horror film with super-special super-gory super effects and an actress, Josie Ho, that throws herself into the mission with her body, soul and knife. That’s why she’s the producer...
