EL HACHA DIABOLICA

Rudy Guzmán, better known as Santo, the Man Masked in Silver, was the greatest pop icon of Mexican fantasy: his unshakable figure inspired comics, romance and crime stories, and a series of nearly fifty films set into motion with the Cuban co-productions Santo contra el cerebro del mal and Santo contra hombres infernales, both in 1958. El hacha diabólica is one of the most excentric of the saga: a black-masked villian with satanic inclinations casts a supernatural spell on Santo's lineage. Time travel, odd revelations on the esoteric meaning of the heroe's mask, and a beyond the-grave love story come together in hypnotic delirium with tragic trimmings.
