| The
President of America is trapped in the top-security prison of Manhattan
Island in a near future already located in the past. The person in charge
of his rescue is “Snake” Plissken, an ex-crack soldier turned
convict who has to save the President’s life in exchange for his
own. The birth of one of the most famous characters on the filmographies
of Carpenter and Kurt Russell, who was to return to the big screen several
