“We didn’t have Treasure Island, but we did have the comics El Cachorro, El Guerrero del Antifaz. For a child who liked drawing it was moreover his drawing board and project for the future. If there had been paint at my school, I may have been an artist, or a sculptor, but there were only comics. I said: ‘I want to be a comic strip artist when I grow up’, and that’s exactly what I’ve done”. Carlos
