movie in the Kozure Okami saga, based on the comics of
the same name illustrated by Gozeki Kojima and written by Kazuo Koike
(adapted by Frenchman Christophe Gans in his first feature, Crying
Freeman). Known in the West as Lone Wolf and Cub
and Baby Cart, the original series, comprising six titles,
narrates the adventures and above all crimes of a samurai, Ogami Itto,
fallen from grace with his clan and now a hired killer travelling the
roads of 17th century Japan with his son lending his sword to the service
of the highest bidder. This time, Lone Wolf is hired
to end the life of a dangerous (and tattooed) woman. |
