| It
was all of ten years ago. Ten years ago a group of Galician madmen invaded
the Principal to present a movie which was to cause sensation at the 4th
Fantasy and Horror Film Festival. Headed by Antonio Blanco, Ricardo Llovo
and Manuel Manquiña, they brought us Cannibal Massacre,
a feature film financed thanks to innovating marketing techniques (vouchers
which, in exchange for 1,500 pesetas, gave their holders the right to
a video copy of the movie), an unusual title in Spanish horror movies
of the time narrating the adventures of the Machado family, stockbreeders
ruined by the new European laws who discover the advantages of human flesh.
The Festival pays tribute to this now legendary movie despite its short
history. |
