Moon Child
(2003). Takahisa Zeze. Japón. 119 minutos
Its director, Takahisa Zeze, is extremely famous for his work in the Japanese porn movie pinku-eiga genre. A passionate filmmaker, independent, libertarian, he allowed himself to be paid amorous compliments by a grand Japanese studio in order to be able to film with no fixed reel length, with no barriers regarding conception of the script, time, the visual aspects, this story taking place throughout the III Millennium and this first century, a story about vampires, a story about friendship, love, bullets and immolation. In Moon Child nothing is impossible and the most daring spectator will accept that this film on occasions resembles Rebel Without a Cause and on others Interview With the Vampire. And because images such as that of the immortal boy standing before the sunrise are priceless.
