El arte invisible de Emilio Ruiz
Special effects are a vital part of fantasy movies, creating impossible images that have us all dreaming. The Festival pays tribute with this exhibition to Emilio Ruiz, a specialist whom with his models and glass shot has worked on over 450 films. The exhibition will moreover include drawings and models used by Ruiz in his work over recent decades.

Emilio Ruiz debuted in 1942 on Florián Rey’s movie The Cursed Village. He has worked on films including The Humanoid (1979), Supersonic Man (1979), Conan the Barbarian (1980), Dune (1984), The Girl of Your Dreams (1998) or Soldiers of Salamina (2003). Winner of two Goya awards for best special effects, Ruiz is one of the most important model and special effects creators of recent years
