Deep (2002). Gabe Bartalos. Estados Unidos. 114 minutos |
| Gabe Bartalos, the magnificent and irresponsible creator of the make-up special effects of movies which had such a strong effect on our minds, such as Elmer, Basket Case II and Frankenhooker, took his friends unawares (all members of the real fantasy movie “upper class”) and with their collaboration filmed with neither municipal, police nor institutional permit, this movie about a family in trouble because they’ve never seen The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, nor do they know that adorable old ladies aren’t always what they seem to be and can exercise brutal matriarchy on a bunch of scatterbrains. Sweet, oozing, slippery, ingenious and perverted, this is a tale of love, motorbikes and gastronomy. By the way, the actor whose arm is sliced off was already one-armed before they did it, so don’t worry. |
