Big deal: The Sundance Film Festival backs this film by Paul Solet, author of the short Means to End, considered by Fangoria (Magazine, not Alaska) Best Short Horror Film of 2005, and mate of Eli Roth (the “unglorious basterd” who directed Hostel). Big deal in its advertising: Love is undying. Blood, a lot of blood in the bottle for the baby that Madeleine gave birth to dead (the birth scene kills any desire to ever have a baby with any female with ovaries), but which resuscitates thanks to the script, which is exceedingly sick and develops a certain lactose intolerance and an equal delight in haemoglobin. Dark, lacerated, sexually hybrid, film where nobody is completely healthy, including a performance by Jordan Ladd, the tasty daughter of Cheryl Ladd (who substituted Farrah Fawcett in “Charlie’s Angels”) and glamorous granddaughter of Alan Ladd (Shane, of course).
