Based on the life of serial killer Henry Lee Lucas, John McNaughton’s directorial debut is undoubtedly one of the best known and most controversial horror movies of the 80s; it went through hoops before being able to premiere at festivals and in cinemas. Henry seems normal, but he’s not. He randomly chooses and kills women. Helped by his sidekick and former cellmate, Otis, he murders each one in a different way, so as not to get caught. One day Otis’ sister Becky comes to live with them. She and Henry are soon mutually attracted to one another.
