Trust me, the (brilliant) trailer for this flickette about a handful of teenagers hounded, besieged, gnawed on and eaten by a brood of zombie beavers wasn’t only premiered worldwide at New York’s Tribeca Festival, but in a single weekend became an unparalleled viral novelty, receiving more than a million visits. The little creatures were animated by Creature Effects, responsible for the movement of Cruise’s animatronic horse in The Last Samurai (2003) and for a handful of prosthetics and a bit of makeup in 300 (2006) and I Am Legend (2007). This win-you-over movie was shot at the Disney Ranch.
