Your girlfriend’s dead and you take solace in visiting her parents. Well done Zach! But isn’t it true that before the snake bit her, Beth and you already had one or two niggly issues? She’d say you never wanted to do the things she liked... Anyway, the point is that Beth isn’t dead as in really dead. Nuh-uh! She’s still at home. Your prospective in-laws hadn’t mentioned it, but... there she is. And she doesn’t stink or shed lumps of flesh and she’s got a healthy appetite for sex. Fantastic... or not. Gradually you’ll realise that her character has taken a blow, she’s got the strength of a bull and she’s acquired a penchant for eating the occasional neighbour. Nothing out of the ordinary for someone who’s perfectly aware of being the star of a movie that competed at Sundance and that on August 15 premiered at 30 of the least exclusive cinemas in the USA.
