2000maniacos

25 years. No more and no less. 25 years of monsters, blood, gore, sci-fi and laughs. When there was neither Internet nor Wikipedia nor DVDs, 2000maniacos was born. With the peseta. With San Sebastián’s Horror Festival. Together. Hand in hand. Stump against stump. Like in Basket Case. And we celebrate it with the best in B and Z movies, gore, porn and comics. Popular entertainment like no other. That’s why this special issue of the fanzine celebrates these 25 years with the craziest Turkish movies, Jack Mircala, sex-reports, Hessa and a legendary dossier on the Horror Festival’s 25th anniversary. You’re all invited to the party!

Munstroak

Somewhere around 1986, a mysterious scrap book appeared on the shelves of newspaper stands all over the country. Spun out of mid-air and carrying the title of Monstruos, the album soon turned out to have a powerful magnetism that drove hordes of youngsters, gripped tight in the claws of an inexplicable sort of enchantment, to get their hands on a copy and, of course, on the “210 scariest trading cards you ever did see”, according to the warning on the inside of the cover. Almost 30 years down the line the mystery is back, and with it new monsters, giants, ghosts, fantastic animals and creatures, wizards, sorcerers, extraterrestrial beings and superheroes. If it was a nightmare trying to complete the collection in its day (hardly anyone got them all), this time will be no different...
