Redknap has proven himself a loyal servant to Horror in the special effects departments for "The X-Files" (1993-2016), The Cabin in the Woods (2012) and Deadpool (2016), so it is only logical that his debut as feature filmmaker should be at Montreal's Fantasia Film Festival. And it's only logical that he and his FX team are able to create something hardly ever seen before: the main character in this family tragedy, which includes a separated couple and a teenage daughter with serious problems with monkey business, drug dealers and adolescent rebellion, isn't an invisible man like Wells, Whale or Burton would have him; no, he disintegrates bit by bit, leaving holes and tunnels between his guts and his skeleton. An interesting blend of action and interior and exterior desolation.
