Watch out, this Rialto cinema, abandoned, has nothing in common with the cute version of Cinema Paradiso (1988). You should have imagined it on learning that the guy in charge of projecting the films is no more and no less than Mickey Rourke. You should have imagined it on realising that the viewers are invited to confront their most atavistic fears through short films directed by Alejandro Brugués, signatory of the incredible Juan of the Dead (2011), and Mick Garris, creator of “Masters of Horror”, signatory of a small-screen adaptation of “The Shining” (1997) (yes) and of the screenplay of Critters 2 (1988). Together with them, the godfather of the Gremlins, Joe Dante, the Kitamura who adapted Clive Barker and a David Slade who directed Hard Candy (2005) and an episode of “Black Mirror” (2017).
