Reinterpreted in four perfectly rounded episodes by the production company Prointel and Amazon Prime Video, with the complicity of as many other folk (including Germany's ZDF) on the image, the voice and the awe, Ibáñez Serrador's "Historias para no dormir" still send shivers down your spine. The ventriloquist's dummies still freeze the guts of the other freaks of the multiverse. The characters going by the name of Freddy are still terrifying. And Paco Plaza, the shareholder of Valencia author of Verónica (2017) and La abuela (2021), still wreaks havoc on mortal souls. As you'll see, forty years down the line, we have a blocked actor, a director who apparently wants to help him, a medium, an array of props, a couple of knives and a fair bit of blood...
