At first there was a short film. With almost the same title, the same author and the same actor. It was in 2015 and Le Dernier voyage de l'énigmatique Paul W. R. triumphed at the Audi Awards New Talents. The Audi Award, yep, no matter if this strange astronaut with no intention of fulfilling his mission to annihilate the immense threatening red moon closing in on our planet drives a Peugeot. That short of 2015 morphed into this feature of 2020 and all France loved it for proving that the Gauls can indeed produce sci-fi. It smells of Mad Max, tastes like Jeunet, smacks a little of Grondy and features Jean Reno. There's a female adolescent character well worth looking out for. Prior to San Sebastian, the movie was acclaimed at Angouleme.
