Yes, the directing of this magnificent movie of post-apocalyptic craftsmanship crossed with characters who could well come from a spaghetti/gazpacho western, from an old comic strip or from a first-generation Barbie box, is produced by a collective going by the self-appointed name of Road Kill Super Stars and who until yesterday filmed inconceivable marvels of the type Doritos Ninja Force: Cheese of Fury (2010). Entertaining, romantic, robotic, impassioned with BMX and hugely inspired, this was the big fave with the midnight audience at Sundance. What's it about? Comics, water as a treasure, replicants, one or two hair-raising torture techniques and a catch phrase that's now a classic: "Let's make it memorable!". You'll die of love and laughter.
