We love Dupieux. And not only because he is the director of Rubber (2010), Deerskin (2019) and Mandibles (2020), although there is that as well. And not only because in the world of music he's known as Mr. Oizo, which is also a factor, of course. Nor simply because his father was a garagiste (wowwww!!!). Nor because he started out his film-making career alongside Michel Gondry –director not only of Be Kind, Rewind (2008) but also the Clooney-Nespresso ads– but just because. We love him. Him and all the happy trash who populate his films. Including this band of septuagenarian pseudoselenites by the name of Tabac Force, who aside from plucking the ciggies from our lips must try to save the planet from the clutches of a supervillain. Oh, we love Quentin.
