The Hermenaute publishing house will bring out a book for the Festival on cannibalism in the cinema

Hermenaute will publish a book for the Festival, written by Antonio José Navarro on cannibalism in the cinema, a subject that will have its reflection in the 2022 Festival programme.

The journalist and film writer Antonio José Navarro, a long-standing collaborator in the Festival's publications, amongst others as coordinator of the anthology book American Gothic. El cine de terror USA 1968-1980 (2007) and author of Líbranos del mal.

Un estudio cultural del cine de posesiones demoníacas y exorcismos (2021), published by Hermenaute for last year's Festival, looks in this essay at how fantastic cinema has addressed the subject of cannibalism throughout its history.
