An old gypsy woman is arrested by the police for her alleged connection with the kidnap of a newborn baby and the disappearance of a series of artefacts from a church. While being questioned, the woman commits suicide by throwing herself out of the window, having first entrusted herself to the devil. In revenge, her spirit possesses the body of the local commissioner's daughter. A movie in the tradition of The Exorcist (1973) (coincidentally, Marian Salgado dubbed Linda Blair's part in that film), directed by horror legend Amando de Ossorio, and premiered in Spain a matter of months before Friedkin's film.
