The guys from the hood are back, our mates from Shaun of the Dead (2004) attack time and again with that deliciously British, fantastically Cockney, so Arsenal and Tottenham humour that we’ve loved from the very beginning, ever since Big Talk brought us titles like Attack the Block (2011), Sightseers (2012) and In Fear (2013). The humungous mayhem they invite us to this time round can be summed up (or not) like this: 5 mates, 12 pubs, 60 beers and... a few blue-blooded aliens (too much Dulux to be royal, it has to be said). Nocturnal, very nocturnal, pissed as a newt on Foster’s, juicily apocalyptic, made with fantastic tatters from the Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), Village of the Damned (1960), The Day of the Triffids (1962) and From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) here we have a work perfectly capable of reaping havoc with a style and personality all of its own.
