This year we want to bid a warm welcome to Animedon. And to celebrate its birth in style! And there could be no better way to do so than by bringing the world of anime to the Boulevard. To experience it all from the inside… So we invite you to become an anime character. We will bring your anime essence to the surface, and help you become the animated avatar you have always wanted to be. Come along, take part in our activities, and become a character worthy of a place in the next Ghibli film. And while you are at it, we promise you will be able to concentrate enough ki to achieve Super Saiyan state.

Boulevard (17:00-20:00)

Anime-aurpegia. The basis of all anime lies in the faces of the characters and their expressions. And so this year, the make-up and hairdressing stand will have everything required to turn your reflection in the mirror into an animated drawing. Courtesy of CIFP MONTE ALBERTIA LHII.

Photocall. Immortalise your afternoon with a backdrop in the style of the Ghibli studio. We leave it down to you whether you want to include your grandmother, uncle and brother-in-law in the photo, or if your style is more to be the protagonist of your own story.

Anime-A. Anime comes from manga, and the animation of static images. Journey back in time at this flipbook workshop. You can either start from scratch and create your own animation, or use images from your favourite anime to make your own home-made animation. Organised by GRUPO HAL.

Can't catch me! There are always chases in anime. And they tend to be never-ending. Create an idyllic or post-apocalyptic backdrop and have one character chase after another. They could be from the same world or a different one. Create the most epic or most ridiculous chase you can think of. Courtesy of GRUPO HAL.

Mask-A-rada. If you don't feel like being the lead character in your story, let's invent one! There are plenty of metamorphoses and masks in anime, so this handicrafts workshop will give you the chance not only to create the mask of your alter ego, but also to add any fancy details you like. K-pop gunea. Now that you are an anime character, you will need to act like one, and have your own series. And if there is one thing that every anime series needs, it's an incredible opening sequence. So to perfect your style, we will be turning the Kiosk into an area dedicated to K-pop culture. In partnership with the K-Convent association.

Escape Boom. Suspense that stretches into eternity is a key resource in every anime series. So, to honor this long wait, we will put an escape game on the table, in a portable version. A BOMB is about to explode.

Old Town (19:00-20:00)

Donostia Ghoul. To round off the official opening, we invite you to tour the Old Town with our masked procession. Because a mask is the essential accessory of any anime character. And so this year's parade draws its inspiration from some of the most iconic anime masks. Courtesy of A&B SHOWS.

Pijamaman and the train of time. Has anyone ever noticed that Pijamaman's suit and Doraemon are really rather similar? We have, which is why this year's train journey will draw its inspiration from the 1996 Doraemon film. And so alongside Pijamaman and a strange traveller from the past, our passengers will be journeying to the 22nd century.
