Recipient of a special mention from the jury of the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival, selected for the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes, and honoured with the Silver Méliès in Lisbon, the film is directed by the winner of the Jean Vigo Award for her work J’ai vu le visage du diable. Like so many others, this wonderful film begins with a witch being burned, before then slamming us against the walls of a farm where a monster that lives within a girl's entrails emerges every time she feels desire… Many have defined this title as being full of utterly punk energy, while others have not hesitated to make comparisons with Eggers' The Witch (2015). Filmed on actual proper celluloid, the movie is a true demonstration that becoming an adult hurts, resulting in a highly sophisticated work with plenty of substance.
