An utterly outstanding documentary courtesy of the Festival's most beloved rival, Ángel Sala, director of Fantastic Sitges, the highly regarded Víctor Matellano, director of Vampyres (2015), and Vanesa Bocanegra, one of the heads of a twin festival, Isla Calavera. Together they have put together a remarkable film as the jewel in the crown of the celebrations in 2025 of the fiftieth anniversary of Jaws, along similar lines to such intriguing titles as Beast of War (2025) and Dangerous Animals (2025). The story begins with the panic attack suffered by Universal on realising that the shark movie L'ultimo squalo (1981) by the unrivalled Enzo G. Castellari, director of the magnificent 1990: Bronx Warriors (1982), was smashing box office records in Los Angeles, while they were still working on the 3D version of Jaws 3.
