We are used in our multiverses to thriller, science fiction, noir, horror, slasher and home invasion titles: any being, living or dead, moving, semi-moving or mineral, can kill any living (or other) being. We have sharks, killer whales, murderous tyrannosauruses. Tarantulas. Whales. Men. Women. Bats. Wolves. Wild boar. Sundry abominable snowmen. Hitchcock's birds. Even tyres —Dupieux's Rubber (2010)—. Now it's time for a chimpanzee. And that shouldn't be such a surprise, as the species already showed its darker side in 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968). Directed by the creator of the outstanding The Other Side of the Door (2016) and 47 Meters Down (1 & 2) (2017/2019). Oh, in theory the chimpanzee is domesticated and goes by the name of Ben, but he is absolutely furious, and has penned us into the swimming pool, a very dangerous place. Always.
