The film Deathstalker (Steve Kostanski, 2025) has won the Audience Award to the Best Feature Film at the 36th San Sebastian Horror and Fantasy Film Festival, that finishes tonight at Main Theatre with the screening of Primate (2025).

The Jury of the International Short Film Competition at the 36th San Sebastian Horror and Fantasy Film Festival, made up of Mery Cuesta, Gloria Fernández and Miquel Pastor, has decided to award the Jury Prize for Best Short Film to Come Sit With Us, for its metaphorical potential in representing the submission of women and their generational transcendence, illustrating how genre film serves as the perfect vehicle for social critique and campaigning.

The Jury of the International Short Film Competition at the 36th San Sebastian Horror and Fantasy Film Festival, made up of Mery Cuesta, Gloria Fernández and Miquel Pastor, has decided to award the "Silver Méliès" for Best European Fantasy Short Film to Mater Benefacta, for its power as a tool in combating neglect, through a skilfully employed aesthetic and language in depicting a vile episode in Spain's history.

The jury of the Blogos de Oro critics' award at the 36th San Sebastian Horror and Fantasy Film Festival, made up of Iker Casado (Casado con el Cine), Santi Serrano (Revista Young España), Mikel Peña (RavenHeart), Amaia Egüés (Atemporalia) and Manuel Aguilar (CineDePatio) have given their accolade to Silencio, for using blood as the central strand linking social drama and vampirism, without overlooking the originality and irreverence of its creator, giving the film a fresh and strident voice in the fantasy genre, along with a very direct message about the stigma of AIDS.
