El método del doctor Alquitrán y del profesor Pluma

Luciano Berriatúa adapts Poe’s short story and turns it into strong yet beautiful images, accompanied by Paul Naschy’s ever-worrying narration. This is the story of a hospital inspector seeinng a psychiatrist who is testing a new therapy where there are no bars, where doctors and patients live together without any security. The only problem is the horrible sounds that come from the basement, where they are experimenting with the innovative method by doctor Alquitrán and professor Pluma. Javier Pérez de Azpeitia plays Franz Liszt’s music as a backdrop for an already classic story, one of the horror stories that Edgar Allan Poe left as a reminder of his time on earth, now reinterpreted by Luciano Berriatúa and family.
