According to ancient beliefs, our universe is composed of three parallel levels: the human world (ningenkai), the demon world (makai) and the man-beast world (jujinkai). The same legend also says that despite the fact that these three dimensions are separate, every 3.000 years a god among gods appears, the Chojin, who is a supreme being with just one objective: breaking down the barriers which separate the three levels and bringing them together in a world of peace and harmony. Amano Jyaku, a guardian from the jujinkai dimension, wants to discover the identity of the Chojin to stop this union which would mean the end of our days. Explicit, violent, orgiastic, radical, phallic, grotesque… The saga created by Toshio Maeda is another classic which was passed round almost clandestinely when this genre first officially came to our country.
