The Wicker Man

Investigating the disappearance of a girl, a Scotland Yard police sergeant comes to the remote island of Summerisle, on the south west coast of Scotland. As soon as he sets foot on land he realises that this is a strange place inhabited by uncooperative people and this will be a tricky investigation. The longer he spends on the island, the stranger it all seems. Classic British horror film from the seventies directed by the not particularly prolific Robin Hardy who has recently been trying to finish his third film, The Wicker Tree (also known as Cowboys for Christ) as a type of sequel/consequence/update that according to some internet forums he started on after seeing LaBute/Cage’s remake of his opera prima.
