“Every night, in their room, granny invented stories for the two brothers...â€. Foggy forests on leafy green mountains permanently blurred by mist, among misty vegetation, provide the setting for a story like so many others. A family and a house. A granny that tells horror stories to her grandchildren every night, a lonely father, an absent mother and characters that “skulk in the shadowsâ€. Bilbao’s director of El relevo and El tiempo prestado narrates a subtle horror story, involving fantasy and farmhouses, light and shadows, dreams and reality, stories and memories, sombre pasts and uncertain present.
