A misshapen green creature and a Barbie doll are the stars of this production which puts the short in short film. This film is to short films what the story by Guatemalan Augusto Monterroso The Dinosaur (“When I woke up, the dinosaur was still there”) is to short stories. 25 seconds are sufficient for Sophie Laguës, French director living in Rotterdam and trained at the prestigious FAMU school in Prague, to tell us a terrible story of personal frustrations, a desire to be someone else, of plastic surgery and change, something like a light (and short) version of Douglas Buck’s films or the first season of “Dexter”.
