An old sorcerer tells a tale to a group of children sitting round a campfire in his tepee. It is a story of past times, when the sky was too low and men and women, trees or birds could not raise their eyes or their spirits up. It was a time when human beings could not live in peace and happiness because they were permanently oppressed by the sky being too low. ESMA students (École Supérieure des Métiers Artistiques) provide the words for the shaman who tries to teach and entertain some young Indians with stories of the past, recounting a legend about the rebellion led by children who did not always want to look at the floor like their elders.
