New adaptation of The Pit and the Pendulum by Edgar Allan Poe, presented by Ray Harryhausen no less. A short produced, of course, using the stop-motion technique so loved by this Californian maestro, reminding us of the version made by Richard Matheson, Roger Corman and Vincent Price in 1961. A man condemned to death by the Spanish Inquisition. A dark pit. Time passes.  The grim reaper strolling through the cell, in no hurry to carry off the new inmate.  A small animation jewel directed by Marc Lougee, with vast experience in the world of TV animation –his CV includes Joe’s Apartment and the cult MTV series “Celebrity Deathmatch�–.
