The Date

Brian has a date. At five o’clock this very afternoon. He not only has a date but it was also HER who rang him. And she’s coming to his house! Brian is excited thinking about this afternoon which he’s doubtlessly been dreaming about for quite a while. But logically (because life’s like that, because this is a short film and because it’s animation) something goes wrong. A domestic accident knocks him out for a couple of hours and he wakes up… at five o’clock! And the doorbell is ringing! And he’s still got to clean the house! The Belgian Dries Renglé tells a “typical” story about dates that seem to be impossible but are made possible but end up… complicated in this short film which curiously mentions his ex girlfriend in the acknowledgements.
