Powerful opening movie rotating around crimes committed in life on the other side of the camera and screen. In one of those quiet, upper-class, squeaky-clean American cities not far from New York, someone starts raping and killing young girls. A policewoman, Eliza Dushku (the bit of a thing in Wrong Turn), becomes obsessed with the case. An extremely positive obsession for the audience as we watch her madness progress at splendid rhythm. The cop completely loses the plot, but the murderer strikes again. And the little dead girls wind up looking after the four little corners of her bed, a bed with duly equipped with safety belts. Among the cast we also spot old friends like Cary Elwes, while the screenwriter, Malloy, allots himself a good part as an actor.
