Encarnação do demônio

Zé Do Caixao is back! And what’s more, he left the Venice festival trembling. He has returned from among the living and the dead to fulfil his eternal dream: a descendent! Whilst he looks for the ideal mother for his son, he will come up against military and police forces in Brazil and brings the inhabitants of the favelas out on to the street inciting them to rebel against their oppressors, including God and his priests.  With touches of exquisite and refined sadism (the girl who devours a slice of her own buttock to demonstrate her submission to Mojica Marins) which would made the Marquis de Sade dribble with pleasure in his grave, incredible bursts of surrealism (this naked girl with her torso devoured by spiders..) and a little Nietzsche-style nihilism, Encarnação do demônio is unique.
