Prime Time

First major film by Luis Calvo filmed just recently (filming started in March in Benalmádena, thanks to pure Malagueno pride) with star performances by Ana Álvarez, Pablo Puyol, Leticia Dolera and Alberto Amarilla, without forgetting debuts by María Agudo and Antonio Navarro. With a budget of two million euros, produced alone by Benalmádena Kino P. C. Productions, this film marks the director’s “personal concern about future society of the day after tomorrow” who thinks that television is a “deforming mirror of who we are and of our virtues and miseries”. The story, kidnapping a couple to turn them into “Big Brother” characters, is tremendously dangerous and addictive. One last detail: El coleccionista de cadáveres was also filmed in Benalmádena with Boris Karloff!
