An Italian classic filmmaker (normal and horror), Pupi Avati is returning to is roots and joining forces with the star of La stanza del figlio (Palme d’Or in Cannes 2001) to film one of those everlasting stories from rotund classicism where large abandoned houses, guarded by nasty gargoyles, protect profound secrets within its thick walls and under its high ceilings which, when awoken, endanger the life, sense and soul of whoever has interrupted their eternal sleep. In this case, a woman in a fragile mental state (she has just left a psychiatric hospital because her husband committed suicide) who rents what was the scenario of a terrible crime to turn it into an Italian restaurant! Apparitions warn her about what happened, is happening and will happen, but she pays no attention because, if not, there would be no film, until the proof cannot be denied.
