There is no room for even the tiniest doubt: this film is a British gem that laughs at anyone and everyone (not only Churchill, who they make to fire submachine guns, or Hitler, who they dress up as the Virgin Queen but also at Inglourious Basterds) pretending that the Nazis made a hole in the English Channel and stuck some tanks in it so they could invade England. So far, pretty normal: an epic story of war, honour and courage. The best bit comes when you discover (by looking on the Internet) that the stars might speak with the voices of Ewan McGregor, Alan Cumming, Rosamund Pike or Richard E.Grant but they are still a bunch of dolls. And not just any dolls: articulated, Action man type of things. Forget Transformers, but enjoy these sarcastic louts.
